Minneapolis – The only race series in the United States offering amateur cyclists trips to the Nature Valley Grand Prix, where they will compete against the country’s top men and women professionals, has a new name and several new cities for 2012.
Formerly known as the Nature Valley Pro Ride, the new "Nature Valley Pro Chase" will select the top amateur man and woman at six races to become part of a pair of composite Nature Valley Cycling Teams for the 14th annual edition of the premier stage race on the 2012 USA Cycling National Racing Calendar.

BicycLincoln is a newly formed group of cycling advocates in the city of Lincoln. The mission of the organization is to support and promote cycling in the city of Lincoln in all its forms -- from children riding their bikes to school to commuters to competitive cyclists.
Founded by a core group of cyclists made up of commuters, recreational cyclists, competitive cyclists, and alternative transportation advocates, BicycLincoln is making its formal debut to the public on Saturday, February 25th, at Crescent Moon Coffee from 6-10 PM. Crescent Moon is located at 8th and "P" Streets in the Lincoln Haymarket.

SHECLISMO women opted out of official team shop sponsorship for 2012, because team leaders wanted club members to feel free to facilitate events with any shop or organization reaching out to women.
“We wanted to stay truer to our mission -- get more women on bikes.” Sydney Brown said.
“First and foremost, we’re about fun and empowerment,” Brown said. “If you want try racing, you’ve got our support. Starting to commute by bike? We’ve got tips on everything from helmet hair to heels. Shopping for a new bike and overwhelmed by the options? Don’t shop alone. Take one of us with you and make sure you get all your questions answered and needs addressed.”

The 2012 Nebraska race calendar is nearly complete with a strong mix of road, mountain and cyclocross events to keep riders busy from late March through mid November. While the calendar below features the majority of races to be held in Nebraska in 2012, please note that this race calendar is not complete and there may be some changes as well additions prior to the start of the race season. Specifically, the official date for the Papillion Twilight Criterium along with the Midwest Trek Stores Twilight CX Series.

USA Cycling announced its 2012 National Racing Calendar (NRC) and 2012 National Criterium Calendar (NCC). The NRC heads into its 16th year with nine of the nation’s top pro-am road and stage races while the NCC will debut with 19 single-day criteriums and criterium omniums.

Boulder, Telluride, Durango and Montrose Are Newest Additions to Second Annual Cycling Stage Race
DENVER – With nearly 40 cities across the state expressing initial interest in the 2012 USA Pro Cycling Challenge, race officials have unveiled the 12 host cities that will serve as starts and finishes for the second annual stage race. After drawing more than 1 million fans in the inaugural year, the 2012 race will return to several cities and also visit new locations, showcasing the majestic beauty of the state.
