Omaha, NE - The second annual 3-2-1 Cycling Challenge will be held Saturday, August 2. The 50-mile hosted by the "MTB Goatheads" will feature a group ride on both pavement and dirt.
All the proceeds will be donated to the Omaha Street School, which is a non-profit school serving at-risk youth in the Omaha area.
The event is called "3-2-1" because the route connects three area mountain bike trails in two states, all benefiting one great cause.
Registration is $25 and includes an event tee shirt and a bbq lunch upon completion of the course.
The day will begin at Swanson Park in Bellevue at 7:30am.
V.I.P. Limousine will shuttle riders and their bikes to Dodge park in Council Bluffs.
The Group will then ride to Lewis and Clark Monument for a lap on the MTB trails. Next we will head south on the River front Trail all the way to Lake Manawa for another lap on dirt. The final leg of the route will take the group across the South Omaha Bridge and into Bellevue. We'll finish up with a lap at Swanson and a family bar-b-q lunch. Please join us and make the 2008 version even more successful than last year's event.
