Omaha, NE - If you ever wanted the same instruction that has driven riders like Lance Armstrong, Alison Dunlap and Roland Green to the top, you are in luck. Nebraska Cycling Association board member and past CTS Training Camp participant, Nancy Stirek is coordinating with Carmichael Training Systems to bring this training opportunity to Omaha, June 27, 28 and 29. This three day camp is designed for riders of all abilities and levels of cycling. "It’s a wonderful opportunity for us, but it takes everyone’s participation to bring this to fruition," says Stirek, who estimates 12-15 riders will need to sign-on for the camp to secure the date with Carmichael Training System. The three days will cover a range of topics including climbing, cornering, descending, pacelines and nutrition. The camp will be led by an expreienced group of cyclists, including: Justin Peschka 12-time Arizona State Champion, road cyclingJay GuyotMulti-State Champion in Master’s Road, MTB, and Track events Jason TullousMaster’s 30-34 World MTB Champion The camp, rides and instruction is interactive and fully-supported by the CTS Staff. Psycowpath Date Swap!
It has recently come to our attention that the traditional race course loop at L&C encroaches on private property in some places. The race course is being rerouted but will need a few more months for completion of a fun and challenging race loop. In September, riders can expect the classic L&C terrain, including miles of familiar trail as well as some freshly laid tracks that will offer a new spin on a classic venue. The Kanesville Krusher Lewis & Clark XC, now on September 27, will serve as the 2008 Nebraska Lottery Psycowpath Series Final.
