NCA Criterium Training Races Start Saturday |

Lincoln, NE - The Nebraska Cycling Association (NCA) Criterium Training Series starts this Saturday with a full schedule of races at Branched Oak Lake near Raymond. Midwest Wheelmasters will host the first event of the three race series, which include sessions in Norfolk and Omaha, too.
Registration opens at 7:30am Saturday morning and racing begins at 9:00am with Masters 35/45/55 and concludes with the Men 1/2/3 at 12:30pm. Entry fee is $10 for all races and riders may enter additional races on the same day for $5.
The 1-mile circuit at Branched Oak Lake, Lieber's Point is a perfect setting for early season racing and the ideal venue for first time racers. Many riders will use their time post-race to ride laps around Branched Oak Lake, which is a hilly 11.2 mile loop that will serve as the road race course for the Spring Cycling Classic pb LifeCycles OB/GYN, Saturday, April 12.
If you have not already purchased your USA Cycling annual license, you can do so quickly and easily on www.usacycling.org A USA Cycling Cycling racing license is required for the training series races. Your 2008 race license or proof of purchase must be presented at registration to participate. Annual licenses will be on sale for $60 at registration, if you choose to purchase at that time. A 1-day license may be purchased to race in the Men Cat. 5, Women Cat. 4, Junior or Masters races (since they are an open event). Remember, you may use one, 1-day license purchase towards the purchase of an annual license.
