08-psyc-logoThe Nebraska Lottery, as a part of their support to the preservation and enjoyment of Nebraska's outdoor spaces, has signed on as the title sponsor for 2008!  We welcome their support!

We also welcome some returning and new sponsors who will make your race more fun, AND more affordable!  Read on for our updated 2008 sponsorships and the changes it creates for you!  You'll want to check these out so you'll be in the know for the April 5 Series opener at Maskenthine-- less than four weeks away!

Thompson Family Chiropractic is back again for their second year of support.  Their contribution helps make it possible to give every racer a 2008 Nebraska Lottery Psycowpath T-Shirt.  These t-shirts are custom designed every year by a local mountain biker, who also happens to be an award winning graphic artist.  Check 'em out, and thank Rick Thompson and Thompson Family Chiropractic!

Also, we know the economy may be hurting a bit, and what better way to lift the blues than to get on your mountain bike & pedal. Tim Edwards State Farm has stepped up to sponsor the Beginner Category to make it easier for you to race your bike!

At most USA-Cycling sanctioned mountain bike races, all riders must present an annual license or pay for a one-day license.  In 2008, Tim Edwards State Farm has provided financial support that allows Psycowpath to remove the one day license fee for Beginner riders.  Beginners must still fill out the form but will not have to pay the $10 for a one-day license.  Your entry fee is a flat $15.  That's right, we're "comping" your one day license for  Beginner racers!

Sport Category & Singlespeed Category Riders: your entry fee will be reduced from $23 to a flat $20!  You still need a license (one day or annual).  Buy an annual license, and get your custom designed Nebraska Cycling Association water bottle!

Folks, we got SEVEN cross country races (and one super cool marathon at Platte).  And now that you've seen how cool the series trophies can be, and how fun it is to get recognized at the end of year banquet, AND how sweet it is for winners to race a whole season for free.... we gotta make a change.  For 2008, series winners will be determined by your best results in FIVE out of SEVEN races.  We believe that this will make the points competition more relevant, to more people in the last half of the series.  We know that sometimes you gotta go to your daughters wedding and all, so we'll cut you a bit of slack.  This isn’t intended to let you be a spectator at the last race because you “don’t even have to finish and you’ll still win.”  Now that’s lame.  Get on your bike and race and show everyone how much fun you’re having!

These are just some of our changes for 2008.  Stay tuned for more upcoming information on the 2008 Nebraska Lottery Psycowpath Series.   Questions?  Contact Ryan Feagan at ryan.feagan@gmail.com or call 402-415-9071.
