LaVista - Just when you thought it was safe to go hang out at the bike shop and blow off your training...there is "Trainer & a Movie" from the Highgear Bicycle Store of Omaha.
With the recent snap of bitterly cold weather and a snow cover that seemingly would not go away, the indoor group trainer ride revolution has taken hold throughout Nebraska and Highgear has put their spin on it.
Every Wednesday beginning around 6:15pm-6:30pm until 8:00pm, the Highgear trainer nights take center stage, or sales floor in the shop. The sessions are free to the public and there even a few demo trainers that are available to people on a first come first serve basis.
"Since changing the format from a trainer video to that of a movie has brought more people into trainer nights," says host and Highgear employee, Matt Newell. "People that were dissuaded because they thought the trainer videos and sessions were just for the serious riders only, are now coming in and realizing that riding a trainer isn't just for the racer crowd."
To learn more about the "Trainer & a Movie" night at Highgear Bicycle Store of Omaha, email: Matt Newell - mnewell@highgearomaha.com or call 402-935-1988.
EDITORS NOTE: Hey shop owner, team manager or other trainer ride organizer! Do you have a weekly trainer ride that you would like to add to the list? Send your information to NCN Staff Writer, John Lefler, Jr.
