The 4th Annual Lincoln Plating Spring Cycling Classic is fast approaching with less than two weeks before riders from across the midwest line-up for their share of $6000 in cash prizes, April 16-17, 2005 in Lincoln!
The two day event will feature a USCF stage race as well as a road race and criterium for select categories. In addition, the 2005 edition is a "Lance Armstrong Junior Olympic Series" event with juniors from around the central states racing for points to earn invitations to regional and national development camps. The 4th Annual Lincoln Plating Spring Cycling Classic is also teaming up with the UNL Cycling Club to bring collegiate racing to Nebraska with a road race, team time trial and criterium scheduled. Added to that, the event will serve as the series opener for the 2005 Midwest Maxxis Cup, an 11-race point series with events in Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri to determine the top riders in select categories.
