Racers Encouraged to Sign Up for Better Staging

07_kccx_logoKansas City, KS. - Registration for the 2007 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships in Kansas City's Wyandotte County Park opens Saturday, Sept. 15 at 12:01 a.m. CDT.

Only online registrations through the event's official website, www.kccrossnationals.com, will be accepted. There is no day-of-race registration for the event, which will be held Dec. 13-16.

Athletes will be staged based on their order of registration, with the exception of those who qualify for seeding position (2006 place winners, former national champions, UCI point rankings in elite categories, etc.)

The event's official website already contains the complete race schedule, course and venue information, travel and lodging information and the opportunity to purchase official apparel.

Race Director Bill Marshall of KLM Marketing Solutions, said registrants will enjoy an easy-to-use interface that will send a confirmation email specifying their exact time and date of registration and official starting position.

"We have worked with SportsBaseOnline to provide a state-of-the-art on-line registration system that can handle a tremendous amount of athletes signing up for championship and non-championship races in more than a dozen categories," Marshall said.

Cyclocross Nationals return to Kansas City for the first time since 2000. The 360-acre Wyandotte County Park venue will feature ample parking, a vendor expo and an Anheuser-Busch beer garden.
