Elmwood, NE -- Gorgeous skies, steady winds and temperatures in the mid-80s greeted 99 riders for the 4th Annual Elmur Fest (Nebraska State Championship Road Race). Races of 75, 55 and 35 miles challenged riders in the Men 1/2/3, 4, Masters, 5 and Women's divisions.
Aaron Pool (Lincoln Industries-Lemond) captured the Men's 1/2 state championship finishing second to Iowan, Jared Osterloh (All 9 Yards Cycling).
Other top Nebraska finishers included: Paul Johson (Nebraska Med Center/Team Kaos) in the Men's 3, John Spray (Elkhorn Valley Cycling Club) in Men's 4, Steve Muhle (unattached) in Men's 35+, Jon Vondracek (Nebraska Med Center/Team Kaos) in Men's 45+, Rich Pearson (Nebraska Med Center/Team Kaos) in Men's 55+, Jerry Arnold (unattached) in Men's 5 overall, Sydney Brown (XPlanet/Team Revolution) in Women's 1/2/3 and Kim Carveth (Ciao Baby Cycling) in Women's 4.

The State Championship Weekend concludes with the Nebraska State Championship Criterium, Sunday at Branched Oak Lake near Raymond.
