Kirkpatrick Wins a Challenging Psycowpath Finale: McNeill is State Champion

Photo John Peterson* *Bellevue, NE* -The 2007 Nebraska Lottery Psycowpath Series came to a fantastic close on Saturday Aug 25 at Swanson Park in Bellevue. After a week full of rains, dry weather on Fri and Saturday morning, the course dryed up for fantastic conditions. Extended lap counts pushed riders to their limit and amazing competition ensued. The hard work of many throughout the season paid off as many folks set personal record times and accomplishments in capping off yet another Nebraska mountain bike season. Kent McNeill took off hard off the start line with Cam Kirkpatrick and others in tow. Eventually Kirkpatrick surged to take over the lead and carry it through the final laps to win the event. Kent McNeill finished second, and was awarded state Champion as the top Nebraska rider.
