The 2007 Nebraska Lottery Mountain Bike Series continues this Saturday June 23 in Ponca, NE, with the Ponca's Revenge Marathon. Ponca's Revenge will recognize and pay out to the top 8 finishers in the popular men's 4 hour category. Offering over $700 in cash and prizes, Ponca's Revenge continues with the four hour marathon format for sport and expert racers, but for 2007 offers a 2 hour option for the beginners to ride a bit beyond there comfort zone while still seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Team & solo racing options exist for Sport and Beginner racers. As host of the marathon, the Souix City Velo Club, headed by Jay Chesterman, has put in many hours at Ponca State Park to keep the fast, flowing trails with plenty of fun downhills in top condition for racing.
