Council Bluffs, IA - After rains on Thursday night through Friday morning, many were questioning whether the Kanesville Krusher XC would indeed go off as planned.  But greasy and unrideable trail conditions on Thursday night turned near perfect after 24 hours of wind and dry weather Fri night.  The clouds cleared out and racers for both the 10am Beginner and 12pm Sport/Expert event were met with sunshine and perfect racing temperatures in the low 70s.

The Bike Way hosted this third XC event in the 2007 Nebraska Lottery Psycowpath series, featuring food, music and fun for everyone.  Check out bikes by Kona, Yeti, and Specialized at the Bike Way's super sale this Fri, Sat, and Sun June 8-9-10.

Bike Masters Cycling Club dominated the elite ranks of racing at the Kanesville Krusher XC.  18 year old Aaron Grady laid down a blazing fast four laps, coming from 2nd place in lap one to win the Expert Men event by a healthy margin.  Grady's fourth lap held consistent with his early times, coming in at 27 minutes flat, to create a good margin over second place finisher Andy Lueck of Mercy/Specialized out of Iowa City.  Andy's teammate Robin Goforth took third in the Expert Women's event, behind Donna Holmes in second and Bike Masters Cycling Club's Roxzanne Abbott in first.  Roxzanne credited her strong finish to having a healthy warmup by riding to the course from her midtown Omaha home.
