The 2006 Nebraska Lottery Psycowpath Series will recognize the top mountain bikers in the state next Saturday, November 11. Platte River State Park will host the first annual Psycowpath Series Banquet next Saturday, at the Mallet Lodge. Activities for the whole family are featured, including a group ride, a hike, movies for the kids, and dinner followed by an awards ceremony. | < Prev | Next > |

Kent McNeill along with a few others have been busy the last month and a half. France last month and Leadville 100 this month. Kent was kind enough to regale us with his account of their adventures.
2008 E’tape Du Tour
This year was supposed to be easier. I suppose in terms of mileage and total elevation gain, it was. Our route from Pau over the Tourmalet and then to the top of Hautacam was 108 miles with 11,600 feet of climbing. The past couple of years our routes have been from 125-150 miles with 13,000 to 14,000 feet of climbing and we have ridden in extreme heat conditions. This swung us to the other end of the spectrum. Hypothermia!

"Your from Nebraska?" the gal at medical check in asked. "Yes" Steve replied. "So you’re taking the high altitude medication Diamox then?" she asked. "No" Steve replied, having never heard of it. "Oh Boy!" she said with a tone of amazement and worry. "Good Luck!"
