The 2005 Lincoln Plating Spring Cycling Classic will be a "Lance Armstrong Junior Olympic Race Series (LAJORS)" event.

Going into its 13th year, LAJORS has been successful in providing racing opportunities for junior and U23 riders, and has continued to grow each year. Thanks to the generosity of Lance Armstrong and the hard work of event organizers, this program has become a nationally recognized series that aims to increase junior and U23 participation in road racing while providing safe environments for kids to race in.

The series, run on a points system for male and female participants, recognizes podium finishers with Junior Olympic medals at the end of the series. The top finishers in the 15-16, 17-18, and 19-22 age categories are invited to regional camps which give the young riders an opportunity to be invited to national developmental camps.

More information regarding the age categories and registration will be available after Monday, February 14, 2005.
