The 2006 Cornhusker State Games Stage Race is set for July 22-23 on the roads in and around Branched Oak Lake, Lieber's Point.

The two-day, three stage points race will feature an individual time trial, road race and criterium.

It is the sixth event in the Nebraska USCF "Rider of the Year" competition.

RACE SCHEDULE

Saturday's racing begins with an individual time trial, which will start at Lieber's Point and proceed around Branched Oak Lake clockwise finishing just south of the Branched Oak Road entrance on NW 140th. The individual time trial is approximately 13 miles.

Following the individual time trial, the second stage road race will take riders around the same course multiple times with both the start and finish at Lieber's Point. A 2-mile neutral roll-out will deliver riders to the 11.2 mile road course and then the pedals will turn in anger. After the riders complete their predetermined number of loops, riders will race back to the finish at Lieber's Point.

Results for both the individual time trial and road race will be posted following the conclusion of the second stage road race.

The CSG Stage Race will conclude with the stage three criterium at Branched Oak Lake, Lieber's Point.

The 1-mile circuit is a fast, sweeping, relatively flat loop with one 90-degree corner.
