| Elkhorn Cycling Club Hosting MTB Time Trial Series |

The Elkhorn Valley Cycling Club will be hosting the 1st Annual Maskenthine Mayhem MTB Time Trial Series at Maskenthine Lake near Stanton, NE. Race dates are July 26 and August 30,2006. This will mark the first event to be held on the MTB Trails at Maskenthine Lake Recreation Area. This event is permitted by USA Cycling/NORBA.
Check in time for this training series is 6:00 pm race night. Entry fees are $7.00. USA Cycling licenses are required and one-day permits will be available.
Racing begins at 6:30 pm with Beginner Men/Women and Youth classes who will do two laps on the 2.7 mile course. Sport/Expert Men and Women will begin at 7:00 pm and do four laps. Riders will leave at 30 second intervals with start times posted prior to the start. Racers will be scored based on actual time on the race course.

Prizes in the form of merchandise will be presented at race time.
Maskenthine Lake is located approximately 9 miles east of Norfolk on Highway 275 and 2 miles south on Ridge Road (this is 1/2 mile east of the intersection of Highways 275 and 57.) From Stanton, take 10th Street north out of town on the gravel road which becomes Ridge Road. Use the North Entrance to the area. The trailhead/start area is at the overflow camper area just inside the North Gate.
