The Nebraska Lottery Psycowpath Series proudly presents Ponca's Revenge Marathon this Saturday, June 10, at Ponca State Park. Hosted by Sioux City Velo, Ponca SP provides great cross country trails along the bluffs of the Missouri River and is a favorite mountain bike destination in northeast Nebraska. Cash payout of $300, $200, and $100 for the top three solo riders, respectively. The four hour marathon event may be raced solo or as a two person team. A LeMons mass start will warm up the racers for their personal tests of endurance while trying to balance their hydration and nutrition intake. For most participants, the vibe at these four hour events tends to be a little more laid back than a traditional xc race. Though over 85% of the riders at the Platte River Marathon raced solo, having another rider share the workload is an excellent way to experience this race. Switching off each lap allows recovery and motivation to go out for another lap that isn't available for a solo rider. While you're having fun on the trail, there are many activities for your family to enjoy. A swimming pool, horseback riding (register in advance), picturesque views and more await those who visit Ponca State Park.
