EARLY SEASON TRAINING SERIES BEGINS MARCH 5 Print E-mail

ChannelONE Marketing will host an early season training series throughout the month of March featuring criterium and circuit races. The events will be held at Branched Oak Lake and Pioneers Park. The races will be free for juniors 18 & under with an annual USCF license or the purchase of a 1-day race license.

Course Description:

The 1-mile loop at Lieber's Point features one tight corner and a wide-open, flowing course the rest of the way around. Featuring a few slight rises, the track provides a safe training environment. The course will be closed to all traffic throughout the events.

Course Description:

The 2-mile loop at Pioneers Park has two power climbs that are sure to get your legs firing as you head into another week of early season training. Beginning at the top of the park near the entrance to the Pinewood Bowl, the circuit heads east towards the ‘Buffalo Statue' roundabout and then proceeds west back to the top of the park before heading south down a fast descent, circling the Pinewood Bowl and then back up a longer climb to the finish. The course will be closed to all traffic throughout the events.

SERIES RULES & REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Rules:

•All 2005 USCF rules are in effect.
• Events will be held rain or shine.
• Helmets must be worn at all times while on the bike.
• Valid and current USCF license must be presented at registration.
• Promoter reserves the right to adjust start times and race duration.
• Promoter reserves the right to cancel/combine events as necessary.
• Held under USCF Permit: 2005-199.

•NebraskaState Park permit required for saturday criteriums. Day passes available on-site for $2.50.


Registration:

•Pre-register for multiple events and save:

  1. Register for both events in a weekend and save $5!
  2. Register for the entire series and save $30!

•Pre-registration deadline for the entire series is March 4, 2005.

•Pre-registration deadline for individual weekends in the Friday before.

•No refunds and no credit toward other events.

•Day-of registration opens at 8:00am and closes 10 minutes before each event.

•Riders may be register for additional events on race-day for only $5.

•Valid USCF license or receipt of purchase must be presented at registration, NO EXCEPTIONS!

•One-day USCF licenses will be available for purchase on-site for eligible categories, including Men Cat. 5, Women Cat. 4,  ALL junior categories, Men Masters 45+ & 55+.

Directions to Criterium:

From I-80, take Exit 401B to Hwy 34. Head west on Hwy 34 to NW 112th to Raymond Road. Turn left on Raymond Road and proceed west to NW 140th Street. Turn right on NW 140th Street and head north to Branched Oak Road. Turn right and proceed to the park gate. Continue east past the park gate to Lieber's Point. Watch for signs.

Directions to Circuit Race:

From I-80, take the Hwy 77 exit south, head south to West Van Dorn Street exit, head west past South Coddington to Pioneers Park entrance on north side of Park. Watch for signs.
