The mountain bike race at Tranquility Park, Omaha, on March 25 is loaded with firsts: First of the eight race 2006 Nebraska Lottery Psycowpath Series; first of the five race XC series championship; first MTB race in Omaha for 2006; and first ever sanctioned NORBA points race at Tranquility Park. To celebrate these firsts and kick off the series in a big way, Bike Masters Cycling Club is giving a cactus green T-shirt with multicolored Tranquility Tire Tantrum logo to every person who registers to race. Destined to become an instant classic. In years to come when many will say, "I was at the 2006 inaugural Tranquility Tire Tantrum", you can wear the goods to back it up! Six of the twelve sponsoring bike shops of the 2006 Nebraska Lottery Psycowpath Series are able to be present in the Expo area. Demo bikes, bike clubs, and bike banter will be obtainable. The end of lap/finish line sprint will go down the middle of the Expo area where picnic table seating will be interspersed with the bike shops, cheering each contestant on to his or her best. Be a participant of Omaha mountain bike history and come out to support mountain bike racing and the Trails Have Our Respect crews that build and maintain area mountain bike trails. |
