MultiSport Marketing, Cow Town Cycling Team, Cycle City, Fit 4 U, Maxxis Tires, Trek Store of Kansas City and KCA
are pleased to present the 2004 Kansas State Cyclo-cross Championships to be held on Saturday, December 4th, 2004
at Pierson Park, Kansas City, KS. The event will double as the final round of the Mid-America Cross Cup. Over
$1000.00 will be awarded to the series winners. Class winners from the final round will win a set of Maxxis
tires. USCF medals will be awarded to the top three Kansas finishers in all categories. State Championship
jerseys (courtesy Michelob Ultra & KLM Marketing Solutions) will be awarded to all class winners (except juniors).
Event highlights include the Pee-Wee Cross event. Kids 10 & under will have the challenge of competing on their
very own course. All Pee-Wee Cross participants receive awards. All kids must wear a helmet. The Kid's event
starts at 1:00pm. Please arrive early to register. Along with the Pee-Wee event, there are classes for all
abilities – there will even be a class for Single Speed bikes. See event flyer for the complete class list. As
with any event, volunteers are the ones who make the event possible. Any team or persons that can help out on
Saturday morning should contact msmracing@lycos.com Teams such as the Lanterne Rouge Volunteer Group and GP
VeloTek (www.velotek.com) have already signed up, but more help is needed. Registration will open at 11:00am. Due
to the weather conditions, it is suggested that you pre-register at www.sportkc.org . If you chose not to pre-
register, please complete a 2004 USA Cycling, Inc Standard Athlete's Entry Blank and Release Form and bring to
registration. Forms will be available at registration, but from past experience "pens don't work very well in
cold conditions". Parking will take place at the community center. Due to the vendors, kids cross course and the
limited parking, racers and spectators are asked to park at the community center within the park - it a short 1/2
mile walk to the course. For event flyers visit
