NEBRASKA CYCLISTS RACE MT. EVANS HILL CLIMB Print E-mail

Riders from across Nebraska took part in the Bob Cook Memorial Mt. Evans Hill Climb in Idaho Springs, CO, July 23. The race is a tough one covering 28 miles, beginning at 7,540 ft. and climbing to the 14,264 foot summit of Mt. Evans.

Nebraska finishers included:

Pro Men 1/2: Mark Merritt (Lincoln Bicycle Co.) 46th place; 2:14:29; 0:21:39 behind winner.

Men Cat. 3: Mark Brackenbury (Team Kaos Cycling) 43rd place; 2:27:00; 0:31:41 behind winner.

Men Cat. 3: Scott Stevens (Lincoln Bicycle Co.) 60th place; 3:17:46; 1:22:27 behind winner.

Masters 35+ (Open): Jeff Luedtke (Husker Road Club) 30th place; 2:25:58; 0:22:22 behind winner.

Masters 35+ (Cat. 4): Eric Buhs (Revolution Cycling) 81st place; 2:54:43; 0:45:28 behind winner.
