The 2005 Psycowpath Mountain Bike Series presented by the Nebraska Lottery kicks off Saturday, April 30, 2005 with the “River City Shootout” in Bellevue, NE. The six race series will feature over $5000 in cash and merchandise prizes with a portion of proceeds going to the Nebraska trail advocacy group, “THOR” (Trails Have Our Respect).

The “River City Shootout” serves as the curtain-raiser for the 2005 series, featuring one of the most popular race courses on the Psycowpath circuit, Swanson Park in Bellevue. This “flat” course was built a few years ago with cyclists and equestrians in mind, providing a perfect environment for novice and seasoned off-road riders. The 4.5 mile loop offers a fast, flowing course of mostly single track with minor technical sections.

Over $500 in cash and merchandise prizes will be awarded with races begin at 10:00am for the “Beginner” class events and concluding with the “Expert’ categories at 1:00pm.
