The Nebraska Game & Parks Commission has been selected for the "Take Pride In America" program on Saturday, May 7, 2005.
Branched Oak Lake will be the site of the day long partnership with the U.S. Dept. of the Interior to encourage volunteers to clean-up and improve our state parks.
Projects for the day include installing trail markers, trail maintenance, litter pick-up, painting, grill cleaning, installing new beach cable and developing a handicap pcamping site in Area 1.
Volunteers can begin working anytime after 9:00am. Volunteer check-in is at the Park Ranger Office near Lieber's Point.
