With nine of ten races complete in the 2008 road racing season, most NCA Rider of the Year classes have a leader locked in. One race, Category 3 Men, is still a three-way competition between Troy Krause (Lincoln Industries/Highgear) and UNMC-Team Kaos riders Jon Vondracek and Justin Maresh. Maresh, an early season upgrade from Category 4, has come into the gunfight with Krause and Vondracek with both barrels blazing.
Even though the top spots have been decided, bragging rights for the remaining places are still up for grabs. The final race, the Nebraska State Road Race Championships, promoted by teamFIRE at Branched Oak Lake will be the final time the skinny tires will hit the road in competition in Nebraska in 2008. Watch this site for details coming soon and don't forget to enter.
