sheclismo_womenSHECLISMO women opted out of official team shop sponsorship for 2012, because team leaders wanted club members to feel free to facilitate events with any shop or organization reaching out to women.

“We wanted to stay truer to our mission -- get more women on bikes.” Sydney Brown said.

“First and foremost, we’re about fun and empowerment,” Brown said. “If you want try racing, you’ve got our support. Starting to commute by bike? We’ve got tips on everything from helmet hair to heels. Shopping for a new bike and overwhelmed by the options? Don’t shop alone. Lincoln, NE -- Members of the Nebraska cycling community converged on the Holiday Inn in southwest Lincoln, Saturday, January 21 to discuss the upcoming race season at the Nebraska Cycling Association Annual Meeting.

In addition to our Officials Clinic, Promoters Workshop and annual meeting, USAC Midwest Region Coordinator, Larry Martin was on hand to discuss changes with USA Cycling. Most notable was "paperless" registration through the USAC online registration service. Beginning in 2012, riders over the age of 18 will be able to register online and provide an electronic signature rather than having to fill out a release form on race day. USAC will also be requiring a "minimum officials" rule for different disciplines to alleviate confusion and provide better service.
