The 17th and 18th races on the USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Cross Country Calendar took place July 12 and 13. Mathieu Toulouse (CAN) earned the win in the men's pro cross country race while Georgia Gould (Fort Collins, Colo.) took the pro women's victory at the Windham Mountain National. The downhill and four cross contests at Blast the Mass made up the fifth race on the USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Gravity Calendar. Aaron Gwin (Morongo Valley, Calif.) earned the win in the men's pro downhill, while Sage Wilderman (Fraser, Colo.) took the women's competition. Ross Milan (Littleton, Colo.) won the pro men's four cross as recently crowned World Champion Melissa Buhl (Chandler, Ariz.) took the women's four cross victory. Two races marked the USA Cycling National Racing Calendar over the July 12th weekend. Santiago Botero (ARG) rode to the overall win at the Cascade Cycling Classic in Oregon as 2008 Olympian Kristin Armstrong (Boise, Idaho) earned the women's title.
