Colorado Springs, Colo. - USA Cycling announced today the nine junior athletes that will represent the United States at the upcoming 2008 UCI Junior Road and Track World Championships in Cape Town, South Africa, July 12-20.

Kyle Wamsley (Hatfield, Pa.) took home the victory in the 22nd race on the USA Cycling National Racing Calendar, the Cox Charities Cycling Classic. For complete results from the 1.5-rated men's only contest in Providence, RI. In the 23rd competition on the 2008 NRC, the Chevron Manhattan Beach Grand Prix, Rashaan Bahati (Los Angeles, Calif.) earned the win in the men's criterium contest, while Brooke Miller (Shaker Heights, Ohio) won the pro women's race. Nebraska's very own Aaron Pool (Johan Bruyneel Cycling Academy) of Omaha and Alex Boyd (Waste Management/Racelab) of Papillion are racing in the Tour of Pennsylvania this week. The $150,000 prize list for Tour of Pennsylvania makes it the world's richest race for elite international riders under 25. It is a six day stage race covering 420 miles across Pennsylvania.Twenty, six-man teams will participate including at least five international teams. This year's riders are from; USA, Argentina, Canada, Belguim, Australia, Ireland, Netherlands, and South Africa.
