Louisville, NE - The Platte River Battle Royal Marathon, hosted in fine fashion by the CycleWorks/Moose's Tooth crew, was a huge success by all accounts. Over 70 riders enjoyed the different racing format, many doing a few laps than taking a break with friends, only to go out and do more laps later at a more "conversational" pace. It offered everyone a chance to push themselves and their limits in an environment that encourages camaraderie and all-around fun!

Photo: Lois Brunnert Norfolk, Neb. – “The Highway to Hell” again tested the mettle of cyclists vying for State Championship medals and bragging rights at the 2008 Nebraska State Time Trial Championship May 17 in Norfolk. Sunny skies and warm temperatures were accompanied by ever-increasing winds giving each rider a sense of false hope during the first half of the out-and-back route. Most reported that the first half of the race, going out with the wind, was stellar while the return trip into the wind was, in fact, hell.
