If you haven't notice, there is a new Features section. There are some old articles from the old site that are there now, and soon to be some new ones. Some articles are from Sean Weide. Sean is one of our great official's in Nebraska and has some very important tips for the road racer. These some of these tips will help insure your placing at the end of the race. So do yourself a favor and click on the Racing 101 in the Features section. It might save yourself from protesting a finish.

Also there was a configuration problem with some of the categories in the classifieds. So if you trying to post an ad to components, try again.

There will be more to come!

Overwhelming Success!

PSH logoA little over a week has passed since the February 11th screening of Pure Sweet Hell at Lincoln¹s Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center. Time flies, right?

The brisk, but humid evening served as the Midwest premiere of Pure Sweet Hell, and was also the jumping-off point for filmmaker Brian Vernor¹s Midwest tour, which over the course of the last ten days, has seen him showing this hour-long cyclocross documentary to passionately packed houses in St. Louis, Madison, Chicago, and Minneapolis. The Lincoln showing was an overwhelming success by anyone¹s definition, selling out the 250-seat theater at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center a full two days before the showing, and attracting a long list of supporters in the form of local businesses, moviegoers, hardcore cyclists, sympathetic friends and family, as well as every single Lincoln bike shop the later of which enthusiastically handled PSH ticket sales with all the competence and effectiveness you¹d expect from a group with over 120 years of bike-shop history.

Featured Stories

Kent McNeill along with a few others have been busy the last month and a half. France last month and Leadville 100 this month. Kent was kind enough to regale us with his account of their adventures.

2008 E’tape Du Tour

This year was supposed to be easier. I suppose in terms of mileage and total elevation gain, it was. Our route from Pau over the Tourmalet and then to the top of Hautacam was 108 miles with 11,600 feet of climbing. The past couple of years our routes have been from 125-150 miles with 13,000 to 14,000 feet of climbing and we have ridden in extreme heat conditions. This swung us to the other end of the spectrum. Hypothermia!

"The Race Across The Sky" Leadville Trail 100

"Your from Nebraska?" the gal at medical check in asked. "Yes" Steve replied. "So you’re taking the high altitude medication Diamox then?" she asked. "No" Steve replied, having never heard of it. "Oh Boy!" she said with a tone of amazement and worry. "Good Luck!"
