Aaron Pool (Lincoln Plating-Lemond) capped off an impressive season of racing with a first place finish in the Cat. 1/2 Men's event at the Sandhills Publishing Nebraska State Road Race saturday afternoon at Branched Oak Lake near Raymond. Pool broke away with Jarred Berger (Team Kaos Cycling) and was soon joined by Hot Tubes rider, Alex Boyd. The trio of riders held off the field, battling wind gusts in excess of 30mph. In the finale, Pool was able to hold off Berger in the sprint capturing Lincoln Plating-Lemond's first Cat. 1/2 state title of the year.

The Sandhills Publishing Nebraska USCF State Championship Road Race is set for this Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Branched Oak Lake near Raymond, NE. The race will double as the 2005 Midwest Maxxis Cup finale. In addition, the Nebraska State RR is penultimate event in the Nebraska USCF "Rider of the Year" competition. LANCE ARMSTRONG TOUR OF HOPE RALLY Print E-mail

The Bristol-Meyers Squibb "Tour of Hope" is set for September 28-October 8. The 11-day tour will roll across the southern half of the U.S. sharing stories of cancer survivorship and education.

Creighton Univeristy Medical Center Assistant Professor, Dr. Silberstein will be among the rider's for the 2005 edition. Along with riding the Tour of Hope route, Dr. Silberstein will encourage people to make "The Promise," which is a personal commitment to learn more about cancer and the benefit of cancer clinical trials.

Join Dr. Silberstein and his commitment to cancer research at a "send-off" planned for Friday, September 23 at 11:00a.m. at the fountain in front of St. John's Church on the Creighton University campus. The event will feature a raffle and an opportunity to sign "The Promise."

Bike to Work graphicOmaha — As gasoline prices spiral upward, Team Kaos is helping people who are turning to bicycling for their commute to work or school.

According to information gathered by the U.S. Census Bureau in 2000, 76 percent of the 128.3 million workers in the United States drive alone to work. Only 1.2 percent use "other means" (motorcycle, bicycle, scooter, etc.) of transportation besides walking.
