Zabriskie Leads Long List of Notable Program Alumni in USA Cycling Professional Tour Season Opener

Palo Alto, Calif. - As the third-annual Amgen Tour of California brings professional bike racing to the United States this week, nine UCI ProTour teams representing 27 nations will be on hand to illustrate the growing interest in American cycling.  A strong American contingent - 18 of which are products of USA Cycling's European-based National Development Team - is among the world-class field.

Phinney Finishes Close Second in Overall Indiviudal Pursuit Standings after Tiebreaker

Ballerup, Denmark - The final round of the 2007-08 UCI Track World Cup Classics got underway Friday as the U.S. contingent collected a pair of bronze medals on opening night of the three-day competition. Sarah Hammer (Temecula, Calif.) placed third in the women's 3-kilometer individual pursuit while countrywoman Theresa Cliff-Ryan (Cedar Springs, Mich.) claimed her first career World Cup medal with a third-place effort in the women's 10-kilometer scratch race.

Innovative Tracking Technology Intended for Business and Governments Will Receive a High Speed Test at the Premier California Professional Cycling Race

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE:CSC) announced today that it will launch its new global Location Object Field Tracking (LOFT) solution at the 2008 Amgen Tour of California professional cycling race. CSC's LOFT solution will give fans a unique "bird's eye view" of the race by tracking all of the riders and teams online throughout the duration of the eight-day, 650-mile race. Designed to help organizations to visualize people, vehicles and infrastructure anywhere on Earth to better protect and account for mobile assets, LOFT will be demonstrated in a real-world test during the Tour of California, Feb. 17-24.

Large Turnout Headlines NCA Clinics Print E-mail

Papillion - Nearly two dozen people from Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and South Dakota participated in this year's Nebraska Cycling Association promoters and officials clinic Saturday in Papillion.

Participants in the officials clinic received training from Sean Weide, while the promoters clinic was taught by NCA President John Lefler, Jr. Both clinics were free and part of the NCA's mission to promote the sport of cycling and encourage participation.
