Kansas City, Mo. - 23 inches and counting...the winter precipitation total to date.  Rain or snow falling on average every three days and a constant freeze/thaw cycle sure doesn't make for the best racing conditions.

2008 E’tape Du Tour

This year was supposed to be easier. I suppose in terms of mileage and total elevation gain, it was. Our route from Pau over the Tourmalet and then to the top of Hautacam was 108 miles with 11,600 feet of climbing. The past couple of years our routes have been from 125-150 miles with 13,000 to 14,000 feet of climbing and we have ridden in extreme heat conditions. This swung us to the other end of the spectrum. Hypothermia!
