Criterium and Omnium National Titles Awarded on Final Day of Competition in Fort Collins
 
Fort Collins, Colo. - The 2008 USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships concluded on Sunday as Lees McRae College claimed the overall Division I team title and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology won the overall Division II team championship. Eight individual titles were also awarded on Sunday as the three-day event closed with criterium racing in Old Town Fort Collins.

UC-Davis and MIT Take the Early Lead in Team Omnium Standings

usac-logoFort Collins, Colo. - The USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships started up with the team time trial competition in northern Colorado on Friday.  With traditional powerhouses shining in Division I and some impressive underdog performances in the Division II Time Trial, the University of California - Davis and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology took the early lead in the overall team standings.

Fort Collins, Colo. to Host Collegiate Cycling's Premier Road Event for First Time in History 
 
usac-logoColorado Springs, Colo. - The USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships will head to Fort Collins, Colo. for the first time in history, May 9-11. Nearly 500 student-athletes representing more than 60 colleges and universities from across the country will compete to win one of 18 cycling national titles.

U.S. Finishes 2008 UCI Track Cycling World Championships with Three Medals

usac-logoManchester, Great Britain - Jennie Reed (Kirkland, Wash.) gave the United States its first world title in the women's keirin on Sunday to close out the 2008 UCI Track Cycling World Championships.  After winning the bronze medal in the sprint on Saturday, Reed gave the U.S. its third medal of the weekend when she sprinted to victory against her five challengers in the keirin final.

DESOTO, Texas - USA Cycling awarded its second annual national championships in the discipline of BMX racing on Saturday as Olympic hopefuls Kyle Bennett (Conroe, Texas) and Jill Kintner (Seattle, Wash.) captured elite titles as the sport prepares to make its Olympic debut in Beijing this summer.
