The 2007 Nebraska Lottery Mountain Bike Series continues this Saturday June 23 in Ponca, NE, with the Ponca's Revenge Marathon. Ponca's Revenge will recognize and pay out to the top 8 finishers in the popular men's 4 hour category. Offering over $700 in cash and prizes, Ponca's Revenge continues with the four hour marathon format for sport and expert racers, but for 2007 offers a 2 hour option for the beginners to ride a bit beyond there comfort zone while still seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Team & solo racing options exist for Sport and Beginner racers.
As host of the marathon, the Souix City Velo Club, headed by Jay Chesterman, has put in many hours at Ponca State Park to keep the fast, flowing trails with plenty of fun downhills in top condition for racing. Come and see what the talk is all about!

The Cornhusker State Games Mountain Bike race is coming up soon. With a new course in Area 1, Branched Oak State Lake, the riding and racing will be sweet!
Race day is Sunday, July 22 beginning with kid's races at 8am , Beginner/Novice class at 8:30, Sporto's & Experts at 10:30.
Early entries save $5.00 if in by June 25, and save $2 more entering on-line at www.cornhuskerstategames.com .

Lincoln - The 2007 Nebraska Cycling Association "Rider of the Year" competition is past the midway point and a lot of changes have taken place. Since the season opening Lincoln Plating Spring Cycling Classic, which was dominated by the Nebraska Medical Center/Team Kaos, consistent local racing and some mid-season upgrades have provided a shake-up in the overall standings with five races to go in the season.

The 5th event in the 2007 Nebraska Lottery Psycowpath MTB Series, the Ponca's Revenge Marathon, will be June 23rd at Ponca State Park just north of Ponca, Nebraska. Hosted by Sioux City Velo, this is the second marathon event in the season-long series and will start at 11AM. The duration of the event will be 4 hours for all racers except for the Beginners category which will run for 2 hours.
