Kline Bests World Team Time Standard in Kilometer Time Trial Victory

Colorado Springs, Colo. —After breaking an 11-year-old national record and earning an automatic nomination to the U.S. junior world championship team in the 500-meter time trial on Saturday, Colleen Hayduk (Kutztown, Pa./Team Fuji-Salamander) collected her second national title of the weekend with a victory in the women’s 17-18 sprint.

Lincoln, NE - Monday, July 2nd is the last day to enter the Cornhusker State Games road bike time trial, mountain bike race and tour!

Road bike time trial will be Saturday, July 21st near Yutan, NE. The course will consist of a 22 mile out and back route starting at the Yutan Veterans’s Country Club proceedin south on the Yutan Road towards Ashland. Yutan is located about 50 miles northeast of Lincoln and 20 miles east of Omaha on HWY 92. The mountain bike race day is Sunday, July 22 on a new course for the event - Area 1 at Branched Oak Lake.  5 miles of awesome singletrack featuring twisties, trees, uphills, downhills, new sections and more. More Information... 

The non-competitive tour will be held Saturday, July 21st and will start at Abbott Sports Complex. 25-mile (Abbott Sports Complex to Ceresco and back) 50-mile (Abbott Sports Complex to Ithaca, NE and back) 100-mile (Abbott Sports Complex to Fremont State Lakes and back)

So support the Cornhusker State Games, Come out and play.

Hayduk Breaks National Record in Women’s 17-18 500-Meter Time Trial

Colorado Springs, Colo. - Four national champions were crowned on Friday as the 2007 USA Cycling Junior Track National Championships kicked off at the 7-Eleven Velodrome. 

Colleen Hayduk (Kutztown, Pa./Team Fuji-Salamander) earned the first national title of the evening by setting a new national record in the women’s 17-18 500-meter time trial and earning an automatic nomination to represent the United States at the UCI Junior Track World Championships later this summer in Mexico.  Hayduk clocked a winning time of 36.656 seconds to best four other competitors and eclipse the junior world time standard of 38.847 seconds. Her mark also set a new national record for her age group, surpassing the old record of 37.280 previously held by Missy Thompson.
