Husband and Wife Team Capture Overall Cyclo-Cross National Racing Calendar Titles

Colorado Springs, Colo. -The husband and wife team of Tim Johnson (Middleton, Mass./Cyclocrossworld.com) and Canadian Lyne Bessette (Cyclocrossworld.com) ended the domestic cyclo-cross season atop the overall standings of the USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Racing Calendar.

Lees-McRae, MIT Earn Overall Collegiate Titles as 2006 USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships Conclude

Providence, R.I. - The 2006 USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships concluded Sunday as Katie Compton (Colorado Springs, Colo./Spike) successfully defended her 2005 title and earned her third straight stars-and-stripes jersey in the elite women's category. By virtue of Sunday's victory, Compton earned an automatic nomination to represent the United States at the 2007 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Belgium next month.

Summerhill Takes Second-Straight Junior Men's Crown, Anthony Rides to U23 Title 

Providence, R.I. - Ryan Trebon (Ventura, Calif./Kona) added an elite men's cyclo-cross title to his résumé Saturday with a commanding victory at the 2006 USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships in Providence, R.I. Trebon's victory is the latest accomplishment in a season that's also seen him capture a pro men's mountain bike crown and the overall title in the Crank Brothers U.S. Gran Prix of Cyclo-cross series.

Overend, Tilford Among the Winners as Masters Open 2006 USA Cycling Cyclo-Cross National Championships

Providence, R.I. (December 15, 2006)-USA Cycling awarded 15 national titles Friday as the 2006 USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships opened with master competition that saw 626 riders aged 30 to 66 compete for stars-and-stripes jerseys at Roger Williams Park in Providence, R.I.

With the pro races set for Saturday and Sunday, Friday's precursor featured the country's top amateurs and former pros as they battled it out for the title of national champion in what is often referred to as competitive cycling's fastest-growing discipline.
