Photo Chris Locke Bellevue, NE - Brad Sullivan (Localcycling.com) wasted no time saturday establishing himself as the rider to watch for the 2007 Nebraska Cyclo-cross Series with a win in the Men's 1/2/3 race at the series opener at Swanson Park.
The Overland Park, KS resident held off teammate, Mark Studnicki in the 60-minute contest, who managed a second place finish, which set him up for first place in the Points Competition after two events. Early on, local cyclo-cross stalwart, Tony Wilhelm (HRRC-TREK) surged to the front establishing a blistering pace, which broke the field a part in just a couple of laps. Midway through the race though, Wilhelm began to drift back through the field eventually dropping out.
