2007_ne_state_tt_091.preview Entries are now being taken on Sports Base Online  for the Nebraska State Time Trial – the Hell of Highway 35. Those who braved the race in 2007 know how challenging this course is: 40 kilometers of smooth concrete out and back over big hills traveling in all four directions. Riders who walk away from this race with a State Championship medal can honestly say they have earned it.

Lincoln, NE
- Eric Kenney (Horizon Organic Cycling) and the Punk Rock Cycling duo of Jane Riessen and Kelli Mente tamed the fierce Nebraska winds to claim the top spots in the 2008 Spring Cycling Classic road race and circuit race, April 12-13. The Boulder standout crossed swords with Matt Landen (UNMC-Team Kaos) both days and managed to get the better of the Omaha resident, who has blazed into the 2008 season with impressive form. Landen's teammate, Ian Gray posted two third place finishes to stamp Team Kaos' authority on the weekend, which included victories in the Men Masters races as well as the Men 5 road race.

2008 E’tape Du Tour

This year was supposed to be easier. I suppose in terms of mileage and total elevation gain, it was. Our route from Pau over the Tourmalet and then to the top of Hautacam was 108 miles with 11,600 feet of climbing. The past couple of years our routes have been from 125-150 miles with 13,000 to 14,000 feet of climbing and we have ridden in extreme heat conditions. This swung us to the other end of the spectrum. Hypothermia!
