Revolution Cycling Team had a good showing on a day where the wind could pull the snot right out of your nose.   Gusts must have been up over 30 mph as riders made there way around the 12 mile loop.  In Cat IV men, Anthony Petrillo pulled out an 8th place finish on their 4-lap (50 mile) race.  In Masters 35+ (a mix of all categories--tough!) Kent McNeill along with a few others have been busy the last month and a half. France last month and Leadville 100 this month. Kent was kind enough to regale us with his account of their adventures.

2008 E’tape Du Tour

This year was supposed to be easier. I suppose in terms of mileage and total elevation gain, it was. Our route from Pau over the Tourmalet and then to the top of Hautacam was 108 miles with 11,600 feet of climbing. The past couple of years our routes have been from 125-150 miles with 13,000 to 14,000 feet of climbing and we have ridden in extreme heat conditions. This swung us to the other end of the spectrum. Hypothermia!
