2007 Bikes Instock Now
The 2007 Bikes are in from Specialized, Kona and Even Santacruz. The Tricross comp is one of the bikes to check out this year with the new carbon fiber chainstays with Zertz vibration dampeners. Better frame than last years S-Works great bang for the buck. Still on the cyclecross side the new Kona Jakes are showing some good improvements all around. On the mountain side Santacruz put some major improvements into the Superlight's rear triangle. The complete bike is going for $1599 and will be a hard bike to beat this year.
Specialized Allez, Tricross Comp, Roubaix Comp

Kona Blast $599

Santa Cruz Superlight $1599

FAT AND STUPID!!

I just read the new statistic on gasoline use by Americans. Are you kidding me? The price at the pump has nearly doubled and we are still using more and more! Our obesity rate has now overtaken our divorce rate and kid's obesity is catching there parents. Everyone is complaining about gas prices yet we still use more. In fact 10% more this year already! Simply riding your bike for errands and work or recreation could cut that number by 10%. BURN FAT NOT OIL!!!! I stole that saying from Josh's shirt but I truly believe it!
Thanks for the time!

Labor Day 50?
Roxy and I are considering doing THIS:
http://www.dakota5o.com/dakota2006.html
Avg times for men open field seem to sit around or just over the 5 hour mark. And only 6300 feet of climbing! Thats almost half the firecracker. Maybe I can handle that!

MONDAY NIGHT ROAD RIDE-RECAP

Well last night was tons of fun, with large amounts of speed and sweat. The group consisted of Bill, Lee, Norm, Jason, Paul, Myself, Rob (from BC), Brian, Perry, Mark, Josh and Steve. We had a quick pace with a lot of turns through the 2 Lakes ride. The group fragmented a bit and we regrouped a couple of times. Basically we all had to hold on to the wheel in front of us, except for Lee and Bill who led the group strongly as usual. Thanks for the fun. NEXT TIME FOOD AND DRINKS AFTERWARD IF THAT WORKS!! LET ME KNOW! Oh yeah the photo if from a recent fishing trip after some heavy rains!! HA!

Monday Night Ride Recap
What looked to be a brutally hot evening in the saddle ended up being an enjoyable ride. The north wind actually felt cool at times. Seven of us (Lee, Norm, Steve, Rich, Jason, Trevin, Mitch) went out for about 35 miles around the northwest corner of town. Trevin was bringing the paintrain, relentlessly attacking the group over and over. Who invited him anyway? Next week, same place, same time (The Bike Way - 6:15pm).......
